Part-Time Accounts Payable Associate
Posted 2025-04-06Waynflete, an independent day school serving 560 students in Portland, ME is seeking a detail-oriented and organized part-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team! This is a 3-year position for capital campaign support.
Location:
Waynflete Campus (360 Spring St. Portland, ME), and eligible for partial remote work.
Expected hours:
12-18 per week, flexible schedule (some hours must fall within our business hours of 8-4:30 M-F)
Responsibilities:  Accurately process and scan invoices and related documents into an AI invoice processing system  Set up and maintain vendor files including W-9 forms  Assist School faculty and staff with purchasing processes and reimbursement requests  Process invoices for payment, perform bi-weekly check run  Manage credit card expense reports and monthly processing  Other accounting duties as assigned  Assist with and participate in school events
Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
 Equivalent to an Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business/Public Administration, or related field preferred. Experience in lieu of education will be considered.
 Basic knowledge of accounting principles
 Accounting software experience preferred
 Excellent problem solving skills
 Attention to detail
 Strong organizational skills
 Strong verbal and written communication skills and collaborative spirit
