About the position

The Claim Section Manager-Injury at State Farm is responsible for overseeing the management of first line leaders and their teams, ensuring high-quality service in auto injury claims. This hybrid role combines remote work with in-office collaboration, focusing on leadership, compliance, and process improvement to maintain the company's industry-leading position.

Responsibilities
• Manage assigned first line leaders and oversee their teams, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.

• Lead the team towards achieving department and company goals.
,
• Set team culture and vision to create an inclusive and high-performing work environment.
,
• Manage and oversee auto injury claims on behalf of the company.
,
• Review and control the operation's quality claim activities, including investigations and claim payments.
,
• Make decisions in the best interest of customers and employees.
,
• Engage with internal and external counsel on litigation and regulatory activities.
,
• Coordinate and implement new company programs, policies, and procedures.
,
• Contribute to high-level project work impacting customers and the organization.
,
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable laws.
,
• Suggest methods to update and enhance processes and technologies.
,
• Develop collaborative relationships with leaders from other claim segments.

Requirements
• Prior Property & Casualty Claim handling experience, particularly in Injury/Casualty claims.

• Litigation Management experience is desired.
,
• Experience in Claim Investigation is desired.
,
• Commercial Auto Experience is preferred.
,
• Experience with evaluating injury claims, medical billing, and treatment.
,
• Data Analysis experience is required.
,
• Experience leading other leaders is essential.
,
• Demonstrated horizontal/peer influence is necessary.
,
• Insurance education and/or higher education is preferred.
,
• A valid driver's license is required.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience in managing litigation processes.

• Familiarity with commercial auto claims.
