The Loan Processing Team Lead is a pivotal role within AmeriHome Mortgage, primarily responsible for the effective management of a team of Loan Processors (LPs) and Loan Processing Assistants (LPAs). This position entails overseeing the daily operations of the team, ensuring that they meet their objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) consistently. The LP Team Lead will play a crucial role in the training and development of each Loan Processor and the team as a whole, focusing on enhancing productivity and operational efficiency within the department. In this role, the Team Lead will manage the overall performance of the Loan Processor Assistants, which includes motivating the team, scheduling their tasks, and providing necessary training. The position also involves the administration of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The Team Lead will collaborate closely with Processing and Operations leadership to achieve monthly goals and will work in conjunction with various departments, including Sales, Underwriting, Closing, Disclosures, Post-Closing, and Compliance, to ensure seamless operations and communication. The Loan Processing Team Lead is also responsible for assigning tasks to the Loan Processor Assistants that are directly linked to meeting KPIs, which are essential for achieving the monthly and quarterly goals in funded loan volume. This role is critical in shaping the productivity path for the Loan Processor Assistants and ensuring that the team operates at peak performance levels.
Responsibilities
 Manage the overall performance of Loan Processor Assistants, including daily responsibilities and tasks.

 Motivate, schedule, and train each Loan Processor Assistant on the team.

 Administer policies, procedures, and compliance-related functions of the Loan Processor Assistant role.

 Collaborate with Processing and Operations leadership to achieve team and department monthly goals.

 Work closely with Retail Lending departments including Sales, Underwriting, Closing, Disclosures, Post-Closing, and Compliance.

 Assign tasks and responsibilities to Loan Processor Assistants that are tied to meeting KPIs for funded loan volume.
Requirements
 Minimum of three years of experience in Processing, Processing Manager, or Operations Team Leader roles with a proven track record in Loan Processing Operations.

 High school diploma or GED equivalent.
,
 Experience with Loan Processing is required.
,
 Ability and willingness to train, mentor, and coach on an ongoing basis.
,
 Experience in formulating, developing, and implementing best-practice processing procedures.
,
 Ability to meet ongoing KPIs as required by the line of business.
,
 Experience using mortgage-related LOS systems, e.g., Encompass, and CRM-related systems.
,
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
,
 Demonstrated PC skills including Google Mail or Microsoft Office Suite.

 Demonstrated customer service skills.
,
 Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and effectively manage time.
