Remote Inpatient Medical Coder (ICD-10-PCS Certified)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Remote Inpatient Medical Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding for inpatient hospital stays and be able to work independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities: • Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient hospital visits. • Review medical records to ensure proper coding and compliance with CMS and payer regulations. • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation. • Maintain productivity and accuracy standards set by the organization. • Stay up-to-date with coding guidelines and regulatory changes.

Qualifications: • Certification: CCS (AHIMA) or CIC (AAPC) required. • Experience: Minimum 2 years of inpatient coding experience. • Strong understanding of DRG assignment and CMS regulations. • Experience with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech. • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
