About the position

The Program Manager Senior for the Marketing Execution Enablement team at USAA is responsible for managing, executing, and delivering large-scale programs that consist of multiple projects. This role focuses on ensuring alignment with strategic imperatives, monitoring program health, and achieving multi-year program deadlines while supporting cross-functional teams in change plan execution. The position allows for remote work within the continental U.S. with occasional business travel.

Responsibilities
• Defines and maintains program strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
,
• Provides input and recommendations on multi-year business plans to deliver business capabilities.
,
• Facilitates meetings with executive management and project sponsors to define solutions and delivery.
,
• Prepares reports for stakeholders and management with status updates, identifying risks or issues.
,
• Performs analyses, root cause identification, and develops key work products.
,
• Negotiates agreements and settles disputes equitably.
,
• Negotiates program tradeoffs with IT and the business to ensure alignment of demand to capacity.
,
• Adheres to EPMO processes, procedures, controls, and standards.
,
• Drives the adoption and sustainment of changes within the organization.
,
• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified and controlled.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
,
• 6 years of project and/or program management experience, including managing large-scale projects.
,
• Proficient experience in Principles of Project, Program or Portfolio Management.
,
• Proficient knowledge of program management tools and methodologies.
,
• Understanding of risk management policies and procedures.
,
• Knowledge of program management methodology and techniques.
,
• Experience maintaining and reporting on work effort budgets and methodologies.
,
• Proficient experience in USAA's change management methodology or similar.
,
• Demonstrated experience assessing program risks and rewards across multiple technologies.

Nice-to-haves
• US military experience through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner.

• Experience leading 3rd party risk management programs.

• Experience driving accountability in 3P performance.

• Experience managing 3P contracts.

• Marketing vendor management experience.
