YOUR JOB
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 Execute weekly and off-cycle payrolls for all employees timely and accurately
 Manage multi-state payroll tax accounts, perform new registrations, and respond to tax notices
 Ensure Life is Good complies with all federal and state laws pertaining to payroll and recordkeeping.
 Develop a deep working knowledge of Namely, our People platform, and Namely Time, our time-keeping system
 Ensure the information in Namely (HRIS and Payroll system) is accurate, updated, and compliant
 Earn the confidence of your teammates and all employees
 Guarantee absolute privacy and confidentiality of employment and payroll data
 Lead the response to any audits related to employment, payroll, and timekeeping
 Deliver virtual and in-person training for managers and new employees
 Proactively find and deliver streamlined payroll processes for the People and Culture team
 Troubleshoot system issues as needed
 Communicate with clarity and simplicity, always stating why you are sharing information
Requirements
Your Experience and Qualifications:  You have effectively executed multi-state payroll and tax processes for a mid-sized company of over 300 people using Namely  You use Excel with expertise and can demonstrate how to construct complex formulas, calculations, and reports  You have a deep understanding of the federal and state laws governing payroll, taxes, and employment  You are willing and able to be fully accountable for the entire function of payroll, taxes, and system administration  You know how to ask the right questions to determine whether employee and payroll information is input correctly  You have a complete understanding of the most effective connection between payroll and finance  You have successfully prepared responses to internal and external audits  You have effectively taught a variety of managers and employees how to use HRIS, payroll and timekeeping systems
