Job Description

The Arbitration Specialist will provide exceptional customer service to patients while maintaining an organized work environment. The Arbitration Specialist should be a dependable, dynamic, and enthusiastic individual who has flexibility within their schedule to be able to stay until the job is completed.

Responsibilities: • Arbitration (Insurance) NJ & Federal • Gather documents (EOBs, HICFAs, Op Notes) and combine into a single file. Send to arbitration, whether internally or externally via one of our attorneys. • Keep accurate records noting each account going to arbitration and date of submission in the patient's file. • Handle any/all arbitration negotiations. • Maintain accurate records of awards from the attorney. • Analyze arbitration payors (win/lose rate and amount of awards). • File corresponding documents/proof of payment in each file that passes through the negotiation window. • Follow up on overdue payment awards from insurance carriers. • Work with legal on any/all litigation issues. • Answer patient or insurance phone calls in a friendly, positive, and professional manner while always providing superior customer service. • Document issues and follow up on responses from all the teams in a timely manner. • Comply with HIPAA regulations. • Become acquainted with treatments offered by the practice.

Education and Experience:
• 2 years of college education is preferred, but a high school diploma with relevant experience will be taken into consideration.
• 2+ years working in a medical office with insurance/billing/arbitration.
• Plastic surgery experience not required but preferred.

• Must be able to multi-task.
• Detail-oriented.
• Solid computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; internet savvy.
• Ability to keep up and work within a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour based on experience
