Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Direct Manager Title: Accounting Manager

The Role
The Senior Accountant, serving as an integral member of the accounting team, will help lead the month-end close process, ensure financial statement accuracy, maintain strong internal controls, and provide financial analysis for decision-making. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

What You’ll Do
• Participate in the month-end close process by completing analysis and preparing journal entries such as accruals and deferrals
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Perform in-depth variance analysis for revenue and operating expenses
• Assist in preparing and consolidating financial reporting and analysis for P&L and balance sheet
• Update daily cash report and assist with cash forecasting
• Lead sales tax reporting and filing
• Complete various schedules for management reporting
• Assist with year-end financial statement audit
• Provide direction to Accounting Specialists as needed
• Work on special projects as needed

Ideal Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5-7 years of accounting experience
• Strong accounting skills and working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• Accounting experience with an advertising/marketing agency a plus
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Possess well-developed interpersonal and communication, verbal, and written skills
• Must be results-oriented with the ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Must be highly motivated and have the ability to function independently
• Analytical thinker and problem-solver
• Experience with Workamajig advertising agency accounting software a plus
