Role Summary
The Group Reporting Specialist will play a crucial role in EXA Infrastructure's Centre of Excellence, supporting the regional financial reporting and the Group consolidation. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality financial information that aligns with IFRS, Local GAAP, regulatory standards, internal policies, and best practices. The Group Reporting Specialist will collaborate closely with finance teams across the organization, contributing to the development of standardized reporting processes and the implementation of reporting tools and improvements.

Key Responsibilities
• Group Financial Reporting and Consolidation

• Lead the preparation, review, and submission of consolidated financial statements which includes P&L account, Balance sheet, cash flow statement and notes to accounts in line with IFRS or applicable accounting standards.

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring all reports are accurate, timely, and meet Group standards.

• Reconcile intercompany transactions, consolidating financial data across multiple entities to present a cohesive view of the company’s financial performance.

• Collaborate with local finance teams to ensure consistency in reporting practices, compliance with policies, and elimination of discrepancies.
• Management Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare detailed management reports and analyses that provide actionable insights into financial trends, risks, and performance metrics.

• Develop and enhance monthly and quarterly management reporting packages for stakeholders, identifying key drivers of financial results and variance analysis.

• Support the creation and presentation of financial information to executive leadership and assist with board-level reporting requirements.
• Process Improvement and Standardization

• Drive process improvements within the Group Reporting function by identifying inefficiencies and implementing best practices.

• Lead initiatives within the CoE to enhance data integrity, automate reporting processes, and improve reporting accuracy.

• Support the roll-out and continuous improvement of reporting tools and systems, working with IT and finance stakeholders to ensure optimal functionality.
• Compliance and Audit Support

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and external reporting requirements.

• Support external and internal audit processes, preparing documentation and responding to audit queries as required.

• Stay informed on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, assessing their impact on Group reporting and advising management on necessary adjustments.

Key Qualifications
• Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is strongly preferred.
• Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years in group reporting, financial reporting, or a similar role, preferably within a multinational company or shared services/CoE environment.
• Technical Skills:
Proficiency in IFRS or relevant accounting standards; advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP and financial consolidation systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
• Analytical Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide insights to stakeholders.
• Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Attention to Detail:
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and consolidation activities.
• Process Improvement:
Experience with process improvement methodologies and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing efficiencies.
