Payroll Analyst

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Payroll Analyst at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages and maintaining compliance with company, Local, State, and Federal laws.

Payroll Responsibilities: • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a multi-state payroll. • Review and verify accuracy of timekeeping records. • Analyze payroll data for discrepancies and ensure timely resolution of any issues. • Calculate wages, with holdings, deductions, process wage garnishments, and perform other compensation-related tasks. • Maintain payroll records within Payroll/HR systems to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance. • Responsible for setting up new payroll accounts with individual states as needed. • Reconcile quarterly 941, reconcile and process annual W2s. • Prepare and file payroll tax returns and ensure compliance with fed, state, and local regulations. • Keen eye for detail, able to address and resolve any payroll-related inquiry or discrepancies in a timely manner. • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and setup. • Prepare general journal entries related to payroll and benefits. • Support HR with new hire orientation & onboarding. • Assist with annual payroll audits and ensuring all documentation is in place for government audits. • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a timely manner. • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and government contracting regulations.

Other Duties:
• Assist in maintaining and updating financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in budget preparation and the financial planning processes.
• Assist with reconciliations and management of cash flow.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:
• Education/experience is typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Required Qualifications: • Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail as a priority. • Strong communication skills in a team environment. • Product and process owner, while developing independent recommendations for improvement. • Ability to be a quick learner and be able to multi-task. • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel. • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Desired Qualifications: • Working knowledge of Jamis Prime. • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 product suite.

Telework/Remote Availability: Hybrid model approved. 2-3 days in office required.

Work Location: Annapolis Junction, MD.

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$94,000 - $103,400
