Description:
• Evaluating and underwriting professional liability insurance policies for law firms.
• Assessing risk, determining coverage, and pricing terms.
• Ensuring compliance with company guidelines and industry regulations.
• Reviewing loss history and various documents.
• Collaborating with brokers and agents.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and agents.
• Staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Preparing underwriting reports and recommendations to management.

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree and/or 3-5 years of experience in lawyers professional liability underwriting • Strong analytical and decision-making skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards • Professional designation as Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) and/or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or in process with goal to complete a plus • P&C License (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of date of hire)
