Job Description Summary

As a Claims VSC Adjuster II, you will play a key role in our operations by adjudicating multicomponent, moderately complex claims. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in automotive parts and a keen understanding of vehicle service contracts. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate claims, verify service contract coverage, and ensure timely and accurate claim resolution. This position is responsible for a high-quality customer service both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate and process automotive claims in accordance with company guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with service providers and customers to gather necessary claim information.
• Utilize automotive parts knowledge to verify and approve the necessity and cost of repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of all claims and interactions in the claims management system.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to all stakeholders.
• Answer incoming claim calls within a 30 second average or less.
• Effectively manage timely opening, handling, and accurate completion of all claims.
• Effectively utilize all tools, technologies and reference material leading to accurate claim decisions.
• Verify the best pricing for parts and labor times while avoiding unnecessary labor overlap.
• Maintain a proactive approach with the handling of your workload, especially during peak volume situations.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance expertise in automotive systems and parts.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in automotive services is a plus.
• Proven experience working in an auto parts store or similar role with substantial knowledge of automotive parts.
• Working knowledge of automotive systems, and diagnostic ability to include: internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust, etc.
• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; ability to write simple correspondence.
• Understand and execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Use Microsoft software effectively (Word, Excel required).
• Strong organizational skills.
