Professional Coding Auditor- Fertility & OB/GYN
Remote, Full Time or Part Time

Are you a gifted Professional Coding Auditor? Do you love to do provider and coder audits? This role may be the opportunity you’ve been looking for! We’re actively seeking a talented Professional Fertility & OB/GYN Auditor with 5+ years of recent experience doing provider and coder audits and AAPC or AHIMA Certification, to join our dedicated team.

Duties
• Review and analyze patient medical records to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure completeness of medical records.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations, guidelines, and best practices in medical billing and coding.
• Process medical collections as necessary and assist in resolving any discrepancies in billing.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to medical coding and billing practices.

Job Requirements: To meet the needs of this role, we request candidates with the following qualifications apply: • Must have valid CPC or CCS-P coder certification through AAPC/AHIMA for a minimum of 7+ years. • A minimum of 5+ years of recent experience required doing provider and coder auditing of CPT, E&M, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM codes from medical records for multiple specialties. • Expertise and recent auditing/coding experience in fertility, ob/gyn, E/M clinic & clinic fertility procedures, E/M hospital & surgery/procedures. • Requires advanced technical knowledge in e/m clinic, e/m hospital, and e/m emergency auditing for multiple specialties. • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology. • Experience in researching and applying coding rules and regulations. • Must have experience with data entry of codes into a database and/or software tool. • Must be highly proficient with MS Office Word, and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems. • Requires expert level experience in MS Excel. • Must have excellent organizational skills and a high level of professionalism. • Experience with auditing software is highly preferred. • Report writing skills is a plus • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Have a positive, respectful attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
