Job Description
Under limited supervision, the Catastrophe Field Auto Adjuster is responsible for meeting with customers across the country to investigate, negotiate, and settle moderately complex vehicle damage (which may include automobiles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, recreational vehicles, and boats), or flood claims, when our customers are involved in a catastrophic event. The individual reviews the policy, determines loss coverage, inspects and assesses the vehicle damage, prepares or reviews a repair estimate for covered losses, and processes payment to customers.
 While this position is home-based, it requires travel. The work consists of 70% travel and 30% virtual.***
Key Responsibilities
 Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes
 Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations, and decision-making process
 Investigates, reviews, determines, and verifies moderately complex coverage/policy information
 Negotiates and settles claims in accordance with business unit best practices
 Handles virtual and field assignments
Supervisory Responsibilities
 This job does not have supervisory duties.
Education And Experience
 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)
 In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Functional Skills
 Ability to utilize CCC, Mitchells and/or other auto estimating software
 Knowledge and understanding of paintless dent repair and other automobile repair techniques
 Applies general and occasionally broad knowledge of insurance policy, coverage, and regulation
 Applies general and occasionally broad knowledge of claim processes, policies, procedures, claim systems, coverage, liability, damage estimating, and/or settlement, and adherence to applicable legal compliance standards
 Applies general and occasionally broad knowledge of analytical procedures to reconcile, manipulate, and recognize patterns of data
 Applies general and occasionally broad knowledge of problem-solving and preparation of reports for analysis
 Applies general and occasionally broad negotiation and/or arbitration skills
 Applies general and occasionally broad conflict management and problem resolution skills in managing internal and external customer relationships
 This position is not available for residents of Puerto Rico, California, Alaska, or Hawaii
Notice Of Licensing Requirements
 As a condition of employment, your office/area may require you to obtain an adjuster and/or an appraiser license which includes passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor. If applicable, you will be required to secure license(s) within 60 days of hire.
 If required, the Hiring Manager will work with you along with the Centralized Licensing team to ensure that you are properly licensed.
Sign on Bonus
 You may be eligible for a $1000 Licensing Sign on Bonus if you have the applicable active licenses needed for this role. This could include Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License.

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $50,400.00 - 88,987.50 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
