The Commercial Vans Variable Ops Manager position is a unique and exciting position that oversees all Vans variable operations across our 7+ Mercedes-Benz Sprinter franchises. The Manager will train their storeÂs Sprinter Managers and sales teams on building B2B and B2C relationships, presenting vehicle/fleet solutions, and offering upfitting as a complete solution. The Manager will consistently meet with their teams as well as store leadership to cover KPIs and develop action plans, when necessary, to ensure each franchise achieves their budgeted performance. Having strong organizational and leadership skills is a must and candidates must be able to work and have knowledge in all aspects of the sales process and our products.
You are the right candidate for this role if you possess the following:
 Thorough understanding of franchise dealership variable operations
 Understanding of franchise to OEM relations
 Experience in B2B and B2C variable operations, automotive preferred
 Experience in upfitting and solution based selling as it relates to commercial vehicles
 Ability to work as part of a high functioning team
 Like organization and structure so you can accomplish a high workload of tasks on a daily basis
 Follow a servant leader mentality i.e. always helping others around you achieve success
 Strong understanding of what it takes to achieve high customer satisfaction at all times
 Aspirations to grow in your career
 Proficient with use of multiple platforms (CRM, DMS, Office Suite)
Duties And Responsibilities
 Recruit, train and develop market leading sales teams at all locations
 Develop marketing strategies including: community engagement, dealer open houses, radio/tv/digital campaigns, and more
 Identify and work with their Director on new and entrepreneurial revenue stream opportunities
 Develop and implement strategic plans to grow in all major sales channels (Retail, Government, National Account, etc)
 Develop and train on a professional sales process offering a complete solution (vehicle, upfitting, F&I products) on every proposal
 Set sales goals, track progress, and work with the team to achieve and exceed those quotas
 Maintain a strong focus on the satisfaction of all employees and customers
 Become an expert in your role to best lead the Top Ranked Van Dealers in the country
 Additional responsibilities as needed and communicated by the Director
Qualifications
 5+ years of experience as a Variable Operations Manager for franchise dealerships, in a commercial equipment/fleet sales environment, or at an automotive OEM
 Solid sales competency with knowledge of strategies and best practices
 Must have strong organizational skills, and an excellent comprehension of OEM programs
 Keen attention to detail with a commitment to solving complex problems
 Strong written and verbal communication skills
 Strong presentation skills and comfort with fellow executives
 Outgoing, and positive attitude
 Knowledge of inventory control and management
