What You Will Be Doing:
Our Accounts Payable Specialist is a detail-oriented professional primarily responsible for all A/P functions. The Specialist will complete payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling vendor invoices. Other duties include assisting with ad-hoc month-end reporting analysis for RegEd's management team. The position reports to the Controller.
Responsibilities:  Prepare payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; processing disbursements; reconciling accounts  Update and maintain vendor database  Ensure correct approval, sorting, coding and matching of invoices/POs  Audits and verifies credit card expense reports  Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts  Answers accounts payable and financial questions by researching and interpreting data  Assists in the preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments  Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed  Responsible for assisting in the month-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely month-end and year end closings  Monthly and Annual reporting (1099s, unclaimed property reporting, etc.)  Performs ad-hoc projects and simple accounting duties as needed  Protects organization's value by keeping confidential information  Provide support to Management Team
Must Have:
 Ability to work in our Morrisville, NC office
 Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
 Data entry skills, general math skills
 Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
 Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
 Vendor Relationships
 Strong computer, spreadsheets (Excel), and word processing skills are a must.
 Tracking budget expenses/Purchase Orders
 Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative
 Excellent organizational and analytical skills
 Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
 Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
 Ability to work independently or as a team member
Nice To Have:
 Financial Software Experience: NetSuite accounting software
 Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent field preferred but not required
The Process:
This role requires onsite work at our Morrisville, North Carolina office. This is a part-time role. If working 30+ hours per week, this role will be benefits eligible.

Pay Transparency:
The compensation range for this position is $17-$25 per hour.
RegEd takes a market-based approach to pay. Your actual pay is based on your unique background, pertinent experience, work location and qualifications. In addition to competitive base pay and bonus program participation, RegEd's total compensation package also includes our comprehensive benefits package in addition to vacation, sick, volunteer time off and paid parental leave.
