Role in Action
 Take ownership of leading a dynamic billing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. YouÂll be at the forefront of shaping the teamÂs culture, morale, and overall success.
 Manage customer billings, debt recovery, and supplier payments in accordance with established policy, standards, and guidelines.
 Appropriate accounting treatment of relevant profit & loss and balance sheet items relating to the management of Western PowerÂs trade receivables and trade payables.
 Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them grow professionally and reach their full potential. Regularly offer feedback, training, and development opportunities.
 Maintain and improve the accuracy and relevance of the Revenue Accruals Model (RAM).
 Timely and accurate update of annual tariff rates into Hub Plus.
 Facilitate the handling of regulated revenue queries and address causes by communication with relevant parts of the organisation and external stakeholders.
 Revenue budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for proactive revenue trending analysis to support the annual pricing process.
 Timely and accurate resolutions to customer invoice disputes and supplier inquiries.
What Makes You a Great Fit
 Experienced accounting professional skilled in the management of transactional financial services.
 Solid leadership capability and skilled in fostering a positive environment where our Billing Team can thrive.
 Degree qualified in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
 Sound knowledge of the Australian Accounting Standards, in particular the accounting treatment of revenue, financial assets, payments, and accruals. Conversant with month-end and financial year-end reporting processes.
 Track record of success with identification, implementation, and benefit tracking of process improvements.
 Ability to maintain strong working relationships at all levels, and an ability to manage and partner with diverse stakeholders.
 Strong experience in internal financial controls, including system interfaces, for example between billing & accounting systems; ability to translate the financial impact of aged and/or disputed receivables into accounting journals/records.
 Solid financial acumen, ability to lead in the analysis of complex data and translate these into business and financial impact.
 Fully conversant with data modelling techniques to provide accurate, reliable forecasts and analysis to support business planning and decisions.
