HOW YOU'LL HELP US KEEP CLIMBING (OVERVIEW & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)
This position will report directly to the Director of Risk Management & Insurance within the Finance Division at Delta Air Lines. The position has one direct report. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in either risk management, insurance brokerage, insurance company operations or combination thereof with a strong casualty insurance background preferred. There is some travel (including international) with this position and a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities:  Collaborate with internal stakeholders  Human Resources, Corporate Real Estate, Legal, Environmental, Tech Ops and Financial Reporting.  Liase with external and insurance company actuaries, Third Party Administrators (TPAs), insurance brokers and external risk control engineers to evaluate Workers Compensation and Property loss results and manage the actuarial and Risk Control process.  Responsible for multi-line insurance renewals at Delta subsidiaries with specific oversight responsibility for Monroe Energy, a wholly owned Delta subsidiary in the oil and gas industry.  Participate in claims reviews with brokers and TPAs regarding claims arising from Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP) primarily for Workers Comp and Liability lines of coverage.  Oversee Excess Liability insurance placement,  Oversee Global Property insurance placement.  Manage insurance brokers and service providers associated with the various insurance placements within the scope of this position.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)
 Minimum of ten years of experience in risk management, insurance placement, and claims oversight.
 Possess analytical skills to assess loss and financial data.
 Proven experience working with actuaries, insurance brokers, and attorneys.
 Ability to identify and assess the operational and financial risks of the company.
 Strong knowledge of casualty and property insurance placement, workers' compensation, and liability claims.
 Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
 Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
 Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
 Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS)
 Masters or Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field
 ARM (Associate in Risk Management) or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) designation.
