Description

Responsible for providing microcomputer hardware, software, and end user support and maintenance; assisting in managing all LANs ; assisting in the identification and resolution of problems with current products and services; providing introductory level training on PC basics and concepts; communicating new ideas, enhancement opportunities, identified problems, and/or new product development and implementation information to bank management and personnel; coordinating work within the unit or department, as well as with other departments and units; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Requirements

1. Performs a variety of duties to support the information technology function including microcomputer support, LAN management, problem resolution, introductory level PC training, of which the following are illustrative:

a. Purchases, installs, and repairs computer equipment.

b. Supports end users by identifying and troubleshooting problems with computer hardware and software.

c. Research documentation to provide comprehensive technical solutions.

d. Assists in administering all LANs, providing proper network management, and maintaining appropriate configuration to maximize network performance and efficiency; ensures appropriate network security controls are in place.

e. Provides introductory level training on LAN basics and concepts as corporate needs dictate.

f. Provides support for resolution of end user LAN problems.

g. Assists in the development and maintenance of internal computer training programs/materials and/or the review and purchase of external materials.

h. Develops and maintains a working relationship with both internal and external customers to keep communication open and to identify areas of concern.

i. Works with various departments to coordinate the installation and maintenance of third-party network application software and internally developed application solutions.

j. Supports Chief Information Officer on troubleshooting and resolving any installation and upgrade issues.

k. Works with management to gather and analyze information for developing and modifying various applications.

l. Fulfills requests for custom reports (i.e. CRYSTAL reporting) required by outside auditors, Federal and State Examination Staff, and other internal bank departments.

m. Engage in active IT Enterprise Risk Management. Identifies gaps and emerging risk areas and recommends how they should be managed, both internally and with outside vendors. Prioritize security of all systems.

n. Work with outside vendors to maintain systems and ensure optimum performance and high level of service.

o. Support Chief Information Officer with review of Service Agreements and Vendor Management Process.

p. Update rate fields on internet banking site as necessary.

q. Performs actions as required by regulatory compliance within area of responsibility as assigned by supervisor.

r. Produces and maintains all necessary documentation required by regulatory compliance within area of responsibility as assigned by supervisor.

s. Keeps management informed of status of projects and assignments.

t. Cross trains staff members as applicable and required.

u. Attends various meetings with clients/users when assigned by supervisor.

2. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the unit or department as well as with other units and departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.

3. Abides by the current regulations and organizational policies/procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.

4. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness.

5. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate bank personnel.

6. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.

7. Other duties as assigned.

1. Required to stand, walk, and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
