Job Overview
The Inside Claims Representative II Â Total Loss contributes to WawanesaÂs goal of delivering an exceptional and consistent claims service experience through the fair and equitable adjustment of moderately complex auto total loss claims utilizing telephone and written correspondence, working directly with repair facilities, customers, and appraisers.
Compensation: Depends on experience and varies by location.
Colorado Compensation
 The pay range for this position is $26.26 - $41.36 per hour, depending on experience.
 This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek or more than 12 hours in a workday.
Nevada Compensation
 The pay range for this position is $27.57 - $41.36 per hour, depending on experience.
 This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.
Washington Compensation
 The pay range for this position is $26.26 - $39.39 per hour, depending on experience.
 This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.
Job Responsibilities
 Provide exceptional customer service through empathy, understanding of customer needs, and proactive handling
 Interpret policy wordings, determine policy coverage and ensure appropriate reserving
 Obtain and evaluate relevant information from sources such as appraisers, third party adjusters, contractors and repair facilities in order to quantify losses and validate total loss evaluation
 Negotiate settlement of total loss claims with insureds, claimants, and attorneys to reach fair and equitable settlements
 Communicate with repair facilities, lien holders, tow facilities, and other vendors to obtain relevant information to settle claim
 Coordinate services with vendors and service providers, such as rental and salvage
 Secure documents needed to process titles and salvage of vehicles
 Manage pending claims and workload timely and proactively to expedite total loss settlements
 Maintain accurate records based on company standards and policies within the claims system
 Remain up-to-date with legislative changes and trends in the insurance industry
 May also manage salvage inventory by resolving release issues, setting minimum bids, reviewing bid approval requests, reviewing aging inventory, and resolving title problems
 Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
 Minimum 1+ years of insurance adjusting experience
 Effective customer service skills including empathy and concern for our customers
 Strong communication skills, both written and oral
 Strong investigative and analytical skills
 Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast paced, changing environment
 Detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry
 Strong negotiation skills
 College/University degree is preferred
 Position requires the ability to lift up to 5 lbs on a daily basis
