Chesapeake Geosystems is seeking entry level Pipelayers. This position is travel-extensive. The right candidate will be comfortable being on the road.

In this role you will be an essential part of our team that supports geothermal operations. This entry-level role is for someone who enjoys physical work, thrives outdoors in all weather, and wants to start a career in a growing industry focused on sustainable energy.

What you'll be doing:
• Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials
• Prep and handle fusion pipes, such as trimming and shaping
• Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision
• Assist in the cleanup of job sites
• Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads to complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Travel Requirements

Traveling to job sites on the East Coast is expected up to 100%. Travel accommodations and per diem benefits are provided. We are a family-oriented company and prioritize work-life balance. We will have you home for the weekends!

Physical Demands:
• Ability to work in an outdoor work environment in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ lbs
• Ability to bend, kneel and climb for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work 10 or more hours per day, between 40-50 hours per week.

What you'll bring:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Possess reliable transportation
• Willingness to learn and complete all training

Good skills to have:
• Ability to work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Attention to safety and ability to follow instructions
• Previous experience in construction or related fields is a plus
• Previous experience with heavy machinery is a plus
• Previous experience with utility work is a plus
