Quality Engineer I

Role Description

Build and enhance tests to support ensuring the functionality of applications in the FreedomPay systemÂ

Work in the engineering groupâs Agile practices to deliver quality focused applicationsÂ

Develop a working understanding of the FreedomPay system architectureÂ

Building an understanding of quality tasks and processesÂ Â

Learn to use mocks and simulators when necessaryÂ

Positive interactions with engineering peers and others outside of engineering: Product, Support, Project Management, etcÂ

Support promotions gates, deployments, and production monitoringÂ

Partner with performance engineers to understand performance measurements in relation to functional testingÂ

Develop a working understanding of the payments businessÂ Â

Basic Qualifications

0-2 years development and testing experience using .NET and SQL, or applicable OOP experience

Experience developing and maintaining test code

Understanding of application testing

Sql scripting and database understanding

Understanding of agile practices.

Efficient gitlab user.

Reliable teammate.Â

Effective English communication skills (Listening, Speaking, Writing)

Must pass a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

Desired experience using mocks and simulators.Â

Desired application experience: web front ends, API, queuing, mobile apps, POS systems and devices.Â Â

Desired experience developing and maintaining test data for dynamic automationÂ

Desired testing tool experience: katalon, sonarqube, nunit, postman.Â Â

Desired infrastructure application experience: Snowflake/sigma, Kubernetes, Ocotopus/Argo, Redis, Azure Devops, DynaTrace, Sql Server, Windows IIS.Â
