Job Summary: As a Healthcare Specialist, you will be responsible for providing mental health assessments and short-term therapeutic counseling to patients, families, and staff. You will work closely with the healthcare team to facilitate complex discharge planning and provide crisis intervention services as needed. Â *Key Responsibilities:** Â Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of patients referred by physicians. Â Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions to address emotional, social, and financial consequences of illness or disability. Â Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement discharge plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. Â Serve as a liaison between Indiana University Health and state and county child and adult protective teams. Â *Requirements:** Â Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required. Â Current licensure or license eligibility in the state of Indiana as an HSPP, LMFT, LCSW, or LMHC is required. Â CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification may be required. Â Knowledge of state and county adult and child protective legal mandates, as well as principles of growth and development over the life span, is necessary.
