Role Summary

As a Penetration Testing Consultant, you will be part of the Consulting Division, utilizing cyber threat intelligence to identify vulnerabilities within client environments and executing exploitations. You will primarily focus on Web Application, API, Mobile Application, and Platform Security Assessments and Penetration Testing.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests using commercial, open-source, or custom tools to help clients identify and remediate security risks.
  • Prepare technical and professional reports detailing vulnerabilities, exploits, and security recommendations for clients.
  • Participate in kickoff meetings, testing progress discussions, and reporting sessions to explain findings, reproduction steps, and mitigation strategies
  • Perform research and analysis on known and unknown threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
  • Execute assigned tasks both individually and as part of a team.
  • Mentor and train team members on penetration testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Collaborate with Counter Threat Unit (CTU) and Incident Response (IR) teams to exchange technical insights.
  • Engage in other critical project-related responsibilities as assigned.
  • Visit clients in the Tokyo metropolitan area when necessary.
  • Lead or participate in Red Team projects.
  • What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in security testing (vulnerability assessments, web application testing, penetration testing, and/or Red Team operations)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with at least one (preferably multiple) of the following: Burp Suite Pro, Metasploit, Kali Linux, Responder, Tenable (Nessus), AppScan, WebInspect, PowerShell Empire.
  • Fluency in Japanese.
  • Desirable

  • OSCP, GIAC GPEN, GWAPT, GXPN, or similar security certifications.
  • English proficiency (from basic to advanced levels).
  • Hands-on experience managing Windows and/or Linux environments
  • Strong technical knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
  • In-depth knowledge of attack vectors, security testing processes, and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
  • Practical experience with SQL and high-level programming languages.
  • Strong technical communication (written and verbal) skills along with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly valued: Social engineering, mobile/cloud application testing, exploit development, malware analysis, embedded systems and hardware security testing, ICS testing, cryptography, or cryptanalysis.
