About the role:
As a
Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the brands we support meet international regulatory requirements. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of our clients by guiding them through complex global compliance landscapes. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of customs experts and regulatory consultants, gaining exposure to a wide range of international markets and regulatory frameworks. You will complete regulatory checks yourself and you will liaise with regulatory consultancies on more complex engagement. What you'll do:
What weâre looking for:
Education & Experience: Bachelorâs degree in Regulatory Affairs, Food Science, Chemistry, Life Sciences, International Trade, or a related field.
Industry Knowledge: 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in consumer-packaged goods, food & beverage, health & beauty, or dietary supplements.
Regulatory Expertise: Familiarity with US, CA, UK, EU, AU regulations, and other global regulatory frameworks including Cosmetics, Natural Health Products, Food Safety, Chemicals, Dangerous Goods, Medical Device, and General Regulatory Affairs.
Technical Skills: Experience with ingredient screening, product classification, and compliance documentation.
Certifications (Preferred):Certified Regulatory Affairs Professional (RAPS)HACCP or GMP CertificationDangerous Goods Certification
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to assess complex regulatory issues and provide clear, actionable guidance.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to interact with internal teams, external brands, and regulatory consultants.
Adaptability & Initiative: Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment where roles evolve and new challenges emerge frequently.
Project Management: Ability to manage many ongoing projects.
International Shipping: Experience with products sold and shipped internationally. Knowledge of courier shipping and customs clearance is a strong
