Senior Account Executive

Artificial is looking for an Senior Account Executive passionate about helping life science companies adopt transformative technology. This role is perfect for a consultative, growth-oriented sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect target accounts within the life sciences industry, including biotech, pharma, and research organizations.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation, product demos, SOW elaboration, contract negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Conduct discovery meetings with key stakeholders such as lab directors, automation engineers, and IT leaders to understand their pain points to develop proposals, presentations, and tailored product demonstrations.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to drive revenue growth with enterprise life science companies.
  • Collaborate with customer success and technical teams to ensure a smooth onboarding and post-sale experience for new customers.
  • Work with Marketing to develop content and sales tools to help drive the sales process.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and provide regular forecasting updates.
  • Represent the company at industry events.
  • Requirements

  • 5+ years of SaaS sales experience in the life sciences, biotech, or lab automation space
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota and closing complex enterprise deals
  • Ability to communicate and engage with scientific and technical audiences at all organizational levels
  • Strong understanding of the life sciences industry, including challenges and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Prior lab or life sciences experience
  • Up to 30% travel (depending upon location)
  • Bonus Points

  • Experience selling into biopharma, CROs, or research institutions
  • Experience selling a development-oriented tool such as an “SDK”
  • Experience with other lab automation products (liquid handlers, scheduling software, LIMS, ELNs)
  • Working knowledge of common biological assays and protocols (e.g., HTS, NGS, PCR, cell engineering/expansion, ELISA, flow cytometry, imaging processes)
  • OTE: $160,000 - $250,000
