THE ROLE
As part of our design team, youâll report to our Supervising Technical Artist and bridge the gap between our artists and engineers. You will apply an equal amount of knowledge about both disciplines to ensure the artistic vision and technical constraints of the project are met. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Help define technical requirements for integration of geometry, rigging, animation, shading and material assets from multiple sources into Unity and/or UE5Prototype, pre-visualize, and build XR experiences leveraging Unity and/or UE5Build and integrate 3D models, animation, texturing, shading, materials and XR interactions into Unity-based XR projectsIntegrate 2D video and 180/360-degree video assets into XR experiencesPlay test, refine, and optimize code and art assets to maximize VR, AR & MR experiencesHelp develop powerful and efficient workflows for the Art teamAssist in defining opportunities for automation and collaborate with Engineering to create and deploy tools that allow asset ingest, scene assembly and image generation at massive scaleCollaborate with multiple teams in understanding the current state of internal asset libraries, simulation workflows, while supporting the development of future technologyDevelop, maintain, document and communicate technical-art guidelines and best-practices WHO YOU ARE
BS/BA in Games, Art, Interactive Media Design, or 3D Computer Animation, or equivalent industry experienceDemonstrated expertise at understanding inner workings of a real-time game engines (Unity, Unreal, etc)Current, well-rounded expertise in content-production and development techniques using a broad range of standard DCC tools (Maya, Photogrammetry, Substance Suite, etc.)Familiarity with C#, and the ability to code and sequence animation and interactive elements together for a seamless XR experienceSolid knowledge of current real-time asset creation and optimizationsWell-versed in as set creation and game production pipelinesExperience with Bifrost, Houdini, and procedural VFX techniques and workflows is a plusAble to identify opportunities for automation within these workflowsWorking familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processSelf-motivated with strong communication skills and able to work both in a team and independentlyAbility to work with minimal direction and manage a project independently from start to finishProof of eligibility to work in the United States COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
