ABOUT THE ROLE:

As aFounding Full Stack Engineer, you'll work directly with the leadership team to build the core AI-driven platform that empowers government contractors to be 10x more effective in identifying and winning bids. Your work will directly influence the future of government contracting, impacting businesses across industries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with stakeholders to manage 0 to 1 projects, from ideation through deployment

Build across the full stack using our 100% TypeScript codebase (SvelteJS + Workers + Self Hosted)

Work with state-of-the-art AI technologies, including custom AI agents, recommendation engines, and advanced search algorithms

QUALIFICATIONS:

MUST HAVE 2+ years of experience building and shipping 0 to 1 products using TypeScript and NodeJS

Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced startup environment

Generalist mindset with a passion for working across the stack

Strong product sense, comfortable being both a product manager and designer for their work

Must have a BS in Computer Science or similar degree

INTERVIEW PROCESS:

Round 1: Phone Screen / Resume Interview (30 min)

A detailed discussion of your previous work experience, challenges faced, and solutions implemented.

Round 2: Technical Interview - Live Coding (1 hour)

You’ll complete a real-world coding challenge based on GovSignals’ stack (TypeScript + Postgres) with access to tools like ChatGPT and the internet.

Round 3: Interviews

Systems Design (45 min)

Architect a solution to a real-world challenge faced by GovSignals.

Product Sense (45 min)

Review and critique real product designs, offering insights for improvements.

Culture Interview (Dinner)

A casual dinner with the founders to assess culture fit.
