Job Description
Responsibilities/ Job Duties:
 Review, prepare and transmit electronic and hard copy claims for all federal, state and third-party payers.
 Monitor and work all claim edits to ensure they are fully resolved in a timely manner.
 Research and identify root causes of claim edits.
 Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances.
 Work rejected and denied claims.
 Use problem solving skills to determine root cause and escalate trends to management.
 Document all communications with payers, as well as all billing activities, on the patient's account with clear, concise, and accurate comments.
 Conduct research for payor criteria, and prepare documents for resubmission or special projects.
 Research, verify, and take appropriate actions as it relates to all pre-billing adjustments.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:  MUST have experience with one of the following EHR Systems - EPIC, CERNER, CENTRIQ, MediTech or THRIVE (Will not accept applicants w/o this)  3+ Years of Hospital/Facility (UB-04) Experience (will not accept applicants who only have experience with CMS-1500 professional billing)  Diverse payer experience, government and commercial carriers  Demonstrates the ability to work independently in a remote environment on CST hours
Schedule/ Shift: M-F, regular business hours in CST timezone **Hiring from all states
