Entry Level Lab Technician
Posted 2025-04-06Actalent is hiring an Entry Level Quality Assurance Lab Technician working for a Food and Beverage Manufacturing company in Tampa!!
Responsibilities
 Adhere to health and safety policies and GMPs, and wear PPE in warehouse or production areas.
 Ensure all products conform to product specifications outlined in SAP system.
 Conduct chemical and physical analysis on raw and intermediate processing materials, including packaging materials.
 Maintain accurate, legible records of all tests and retests performed.
 Complete all required reports in a timely manner.
 Work closely with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, and eliminate out-of-specification or damaged products.
 Complete flavor changes accurately and timely.
 Evaluate finished products against current standards by performing audits.
 Check process control parameters to ensure proper equipment application and operation.
 Maintain proper operation, cleanliness, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
 Maintain laboratory cleanliness at all times.
 Utilize free time to assist other technicians or production personnel, perform administrative tasks, and complete special projects.
 Communicate with incoming shift technicians about any issues affecting product or scheduling.
 Clean equipment and benches, and mop the floor if necessary, before leaving the laboratory.
Essential Skills
 Proficient in chemistry and laboratory procedures.
 Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
 Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
 Proficiency in quality assurance, microbiology, quality control, and GMP.
 BachelorÂs degree or Diploma in Food Science, Quality, or related discipline.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr.
