Data Analyst-Diversity Equity Inclusion and Health Equity (Remote, North Carolina Based)
Posted 2025-04-06The DEI and Health Equity Data Analyst will transform complex data into compelling narratives that drive actionable change. This role sits at the intersection of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and health equity, leveraging data visualization, storytelling techniques, and strategic insights to foster a culture of inclusion and equitable health outcomes.
This position is full-time remote, with the option to work in the office if preferred. The successful candidate will be required to report occasionally on-site for team meetings at the Home Office, in Morrisville N.C. The selected candidate will need to reside in North Carolina.
Responsibilities & Duties
Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting
 Creates, analyzes, develops, and interprets various metrics and raw data used for assessing the effectiveness of organizational DEI and health equity data, trends, and crafts a comprehensive and creative narrative including but not limited to infographics, interactive tools/maps, presentations, initiatives, and organizational documentation
 Examines and translates data by providing efficient ways to communicate data-driven insights into simple terms, appropriate for the intended audience through data visualization
 Monitors data trends about pertinent DEI and health equity needs, concerns, and creates action initiatives, visual examples compatible in all formats for marketing, social media, website, reports, presentations, and internal and external stakeholders
 Supports the development of dashboards, scorecards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress
DEI and Health Equity Focused Strategy Development
Supports leadership in developing strategies to address DEI and health disparities
 Provides data-driven recommendations for improving equity in policies, programs, and organizational practices
 Identifies and track social determinants of health (SDOH) and workforce equity trends that impact marginalized groups
 Assists in developing inclusive hiring, retention, and promotion strategies using workforce analytics
Communication and Collaboration
 Creates and deliver engaging and visually appealing presentations to internal and external community stakeholders
 Partners with internal teams, including DEI Council, Health Equity Workgroup, Health Literacy Council, and leadership, to inform strategic decision-making
 Supports the Health Equity Workgroup with events, programs, and projects
 Support Affinity Resource Groups with data collection and analysis
 Training and Education
 Support DEI training programs by providing data-driven insights on organizational gaps and opportunities
 Assist in the development of educational materials and workshops focused on health equity and DEI
 Promote data literacy across teams, ensuring stakeholders understand and use equity-focused data effectively
Continuous Improvement & Impact Assessment
 Regularly assess the effectiveness of DEI and health equity programs, making data-backed recommendations for improvements
 Track long-term outcomes of interventions and initiatives to ensure sustainable impact
 Identify innovative approaches to leverage data for driving systemic change within the organization
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
Required:
BachelorÂs degree from an accredited college or university in Social Sciences, Public Health, Data Analysis, or another closely related field. Three (3) years of experience in a data analyst role which includes data gathering, data cleansing, statistical analysis, data visualization, and generating reports. Proven experience in data storytelling and visualization, preferably in DEI or health equity contexts.
Preferred:
 DEI, HE or Data Science Certification
 Experience in health care, nonprofit, government, or corporate DEI initiatives.
 Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data analysis.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
 Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
 Experience with survey and evaluation design, data collection, and data analysis.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 Experience in MicroStrategy software
 Strong graphic design skills with experience in Adobe InDesign or similar programs
Salary Range
$58,480-$76,024/Annually
Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
