As a Principal Coordinator in Reconciliation and Control you will execute activities in a fast-paced, multi-function team operation tasked with delivering an exceptional experience for our customers. Responsibilities: • Reconcile General Ledger activity for both general and complex reconciliations within assigned scope including maintaining GL health • Develop Subject Matter Expertise within role • Create and process journal entries with accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation • Monitor correspondence and respond timely • Report General Ledger exceptions to partner LOB's as needed • Contribute to decks/reporting, process documentation and projects as required per leadership • Identify issues, trends and recommend automation/process improvements • Escalate issues appropriately and work with partner teams to resolve • Active participant in Team Meetings, Weekly Stand Ups and Partner Meetings • Maintain a risk and controls focus • Review weekly schedule for updates and conflicts • Review, update, and follow procedures and job aids to minimize process errors • Train and partner with others as requested. • Other duties as assigned The ideal candidate should possess the following skills: • Self motivated and demonstrate the ability to work under limited supervision • Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and great attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workflow • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills as well as professionalism in working with internal associates at all levels and our external partners • Proactive with high level problem solving skills • Foster an environment of inclusion, collaboration, accountability, professionalism and fun. Work from Home Technology Requirements • Secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions • Reliable private internet connection that is not supplied via cellular data or hotspot is required • A private network that is password protected where you have ownership or line of site sight to every device on the network • Internet service must be provided by Cable or Fiber Internet Service Providers (ISP) • Hotspots and satellite services are prohibited and do not meet performance criteria required for optimal agent/customer interactions • ISP download speeds on VPN must be at least 5Mbps, with 10+ Mbps preferred • To validate ISP speeds from a Chrome browser, go to www.google.com, type Speed Test and run from the Google landing page • Both Hardwire and WiFi internet connections are acceptable as long as speed and security requirements are met Capital One reserves the right to request proof of internet provider, speed and service package from the associate. Basic Qualifications: • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification • At least 1 year of Banking experience • At least 1 year of Google Suite experience • At least 1 year of reconciliation or accounting experience Preferred Qualifications: • At least 2years experience in Google Suite experience • At least 2 years of banking experience At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
