YouTube Thumbnail Designer

Static Media is looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working YouTube Thumbnail Designer to join our team. In this role, you will help create custom images that will drive engagement for our various YouTube channels that align with our various brands.

We are looking for creative individuals who are self-sufficient and versatile. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of thumbnail or other digital... design experience. This position is work-from-home.

Thumbnail Designer Responsibilities: • Be able to take minimal design direction and deliver high-quality custom thumbnail designs • Work closely with our Video Strategy team to provide images that meet various social platform image requirements • Ability to design highly eye-catching thumbnails on a wide variety of topics • Ability to use constructive feedback to build on and improve designs • Track the A/B tested thumbnails along with winning tiles and report on any findings to the video and video strategy teams

Ideal candidates will have:
• Strong design sense and the ability to translate it into different design styles
• High level of Adobe Creative Cloud knowledge
• Strong understanding of YouTube trends and thumbnail best practices
• Attention to detail when it comes to our brand’s style and voice
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Experience using AI to create custom images
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field

Experience:

At least 1 year of thumbnail design or other digital design experience

Compensation: $35,000 - $40,000 per year

Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the stated salary range depends on a variety of factors including, for example, geographic location and level of experience. This is a non-exempt position.

Work Location: US or Canada (fully remote/work-from-home)
