Position Summary:
The Clinical Biomarker Group is hiring a Translational Operations Associate/Sr. Associate who will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end sample tracking and logistics for clinical trial samples. This person will work closely with clinical operations, central laboratories and specialty lab vendors to ensure samples are shipped from clinical trial sites according to the lab manual and are received at the designated facilities. This individual will initiate analysis of samples according to the study sample analysis plan and ensure data is delivered in time for key internal and external meetings. This associate will serve as the primary point of contact for any clinical sample related queries and escalate as appropriate. This role requires someone who both understands the big picture of the overall translational clinical trial strategy and can focus on the detailed aspects of sample logistics needed to ensure sample and data integrity. Opportunity to broaden scope to include other operational activities such as drafting and reviewing lab related clinical trial documents such as lab manuals, study protocols and ICFs as well as contracting with specialty lab vendors and reviewing incoming data to monitor assay performance.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:  Oversee movement of clinical samples from clinical sites to specialty labs  Execute on timelines for clinical sample testing and provide sample and assay status updates  Primary point of contact for sample related queries  Ensure all clinical sample related documents are filed and stored appropriately  Monitor trends in sample quality as relates to clinical site sample collection and shipments
Qualifications:  BachelorÂs Degree in scientific or related field  Minimum of 3 years relevant (biomarker operations) industry experience  Familiarity with clinical trial documents such as study protocol and lab manuals  Knowledge of clinical trials and clinical sample management  Experience working with external vendors/CROs  Ability to work across functions  Excellent verbal and written communication skills  Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities  Ability to work as part of a team and also independently under general direction across several programs
