We are looking for an experienced Senior Toxicology and Product Safety Manager to join a dynamic Global Advocacy and Scientific Services team, this role reports to the global head of Scientific Affairs. The primary responsibility is to provide scientific and toxicology leadership across different verticals... This involves ensuring that all products adhere to global regulatory requirements and the company's safety standards. The role also acts as a central point of contact for other business functions in these areas. A key aspect of the job is leading the creation of comprehensive product documentation, including studies and dossiers, to facilitate the timely and efficient registration of new products with relevant authorities, while maintaining ongoing compliance.
Key Accountabilities
 Advise leadership on emerging regulatory issues and potential product safety/compliance risks
 Ensure all products meet rigorous safety standards, customer guidelines, and legal requirements
 Manage global dialogues on product safety and regulatory affairs across internal functions
 Provide expert guidance on safety and regulatory requirements for new raw materials
 Collect, interpret, and translate scientific data to support global R&D initiatives
 Identify and integrate novel toxicology tools into the safety review process
 Lead efforts to obtain required data and secure timely approvals for new products
 Compile relevant studies and serve as the go-to expert for R&D projects
 Conduct literature reviews and evaluations for product portfolios
 Provide scientific and regulatory support to commercial and business teams
 Participate in cross-functional initiatives and lead advocacy programs
 Interpret societal and technical trends impacting product safety requirements
Desired Qualifications & Experience
 Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in a scientific field like toxicology, chemistry, biochemistry, or food chemistry
 Minimum 8-10 years of relevant industry experience across product safety, scientific disciplines, and/or regulatory matters
 Expert understanding of food/ingredient regulations, chemistry, biology, and toxicology
 In-depth awareness of industry, customer, and regulatory safety requirements and processes
 Familiarity with current safety trends and issues in the sector
 Proficient in safety assessments, ingredient registrations, and formulation development
 Skilled in regulatory toxicology and applying this expertise within a broader regulatory environment
 Self-motivated with ability to handle large volumes of information
 Excellent communication skills to translate complex topics for non-experts
