Key Responsibilities
 IEP Development: Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, working closely with parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
 Student Assessment: Utilize a variety of assessment tools to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet evolving needs.
 Inclusive Learning Environment: Foster an engaging and inclusive atmosphere that encourages active participation and growth for all students.
 Collaboration: Partner with general education teachers and specialists to support effective inclusion and ensure accommodations are implemented in mainstream classrooms.
 Diverse Teaching Techniques: Employ a variety of instructional strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
 Progress Monitoring: Maintain thorough records of student performance, behavior, and achievements, and prepare progress reports as required.
 Parental Communication: Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed and involved in their child's educational journey.
 Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development through faculty meetings, training sessions, and other activities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications
 Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Teaching or Special Education.
 Certification: A valid Special Education Teaching Certification in Minnesota.
 Experience: Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
 Virtual Teaching Experience: Experience in virtual teaching environments is highly desirable.
