Job Description: Great opportunity to be part of the FedEx Supply Chain Operations IT organization which will provide you with a unique opportunity to impact transformation and strategic initiatives for a leading transportation and logistics provider. As a Sr. Solutions Architect, this position is focused on providing solutions for supply chain automation within a SAFe portfolio. Daily activities will include engagement with enterprise, data, and domain architects to solution strategic initiatives. In this position, you will work in close partnership other solution as well as application architects in the development agile teams providing architectural and application guidance to solve problems with high system interdependency. The position requires understanding of the impact and influence of broader industry and technology trends on the application landscape to recommend modernizing action plans for our operations.
Job Responsibilities
 Document and implement solution, and application architecture and define components, platforms, interfaces, and development tools
 Analyze business requirements and develop functional and non-functional system requirements
 Identify strategic and tactical solutions and be able to influence and negotiate with colleagues and business partners
 Produce architecture and oversee the development of cross-functional, highly scalable, cloud ready solutions
 Promote the appropriate architecture and design principles and patterns to be leveraged for every technology enabled solution
 Collaborate regularly with peer architects to ensure solutions align with enterprise direction
 Perform all documentation and process responsibilities for Architecture Delivery, Disaster Recovery and Open Source Software requests and evaluations
 Must be experienced in modernizing/replacing legacy systems
 Must be experienced in collaborating on architecture with solution provider vendors
Abilities/Skills/Knowledge
 Experience with Sparx EA
 Working knowledge of established application design frameworks and UML
 Ability to successfully influence change
 Strong problem solving and communication skills
 Experience with implementing architecture principles and patterns
 Experience with deploying in public cloud (Azure)
 Spring Boot, Public/Hybrid Cloud PaaS experience, relational database, NoSQL, and Linux skillsets desired
 Working knowledge of cloud data storage fundamentals, networking and Splunk
 Experience with SOA, API First, service design and development
 Experience architecting and implementing distributed systems that process large data volumes with low latency
 Working knowledge and experience developing large scale distributed systems
 Experience in building real-time interfaces between heterogeneous systems
 Experience working within Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and XP development practices
 Experience in Continuous Integration/Deployment (DevSecOps) environment preferred
 Experience in setting application architectural direction and disaster recovery models

Domicile Information
This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of software and solution architecture principles. Strong problem solving, human relations, and communication skills.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: US Pay Range: $9,208.38 - $16.575.08/month
