The Optum at Home Pharmacy Stars Team provides a variety of services including United HealthCare at Home (UAH) strategic Medication Adherence outreach initiatives, Care of Older Adults (COA) medication reviews/health assessments, and SUPD/SPC provider outreach. The team also supports APC providers via a clinical consultation service. All services are provided by a team of Clinical Pharmacists, with the support of Pharmacy Technicians, that engage with plan members and their healthcare providers in a telephonic environment.
The Pharmacy Technician (PT) will report to the Pharmacy Team Supervisor within Optum at Home Pharmacy Stars Team. The primary responsibility of the PT will be to perform telephonic engagements with members of the Optum at Home plans served by the UAH program. They will provide services such as optimizing medication therapy, adherence discussions, and much more. The PT will be an integral part of a team of Clinicians of varying disciplines and will be expected to meet or exceed established productivity and quality metrics as well as staying engaged throughout the process, helping the department reach yearly goals together as a team.
Schedule: Monday  Friday between the hours of 9:00 am  8:30 pm (Typical working schedule is 9am-5:30pm in time zone of residence - CST or EST)

Primary Responsibilities:  Speak with eligible members over the phone to offer and conduct Medication Adherence Consultation services  Primarily via cold calling or answering an inbound Auto-Dialer  Obtain information and perform data entry of adherence barriers, allergy history, medical conditions and other pertinent member-related information including dosage, frequency, and indications of medications  Provide information to qualified members about plan services and potential benefits and direct them via warm transfer to appropriate resources  Maintain performance standards including weekly / monthly calls, production metrics and quality assurance  Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for pharmacy applications, including the XLCare platform

Required Qualifications:  High School Diploma/GED (or higher)  Active Pharmacy Technician License/Certificate as required by the state of residence  1 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician  1 years of experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)  Must have designated secure and private workspace free of distraction and protecting HIPAA confidentiality of our members. No childcare permitted during working hours  Must be willing and able to install secure high-speed internet via cable/DSL in home  Must reside in EST or CST time zones
Preferred Qualifications:  1 years of experience in medication adherence  Previous Call Center experience  National Pharmacy Technician Certification  Multi-lingual (Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian, Vietnamese preferred)  Associate or bachelorÂs degree  Advanced Certification(s)  Experience delivering on business goals with focus on CMS STARs, HEDIS  Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio

Residents Only: The hourly range for Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, or Washington, D.C. residents is $16.54 to $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
