We have an outstanding opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Global Trade to support the Naval Air Missiles (NP-NAM) Global Trade team. This role is set to support a very exciting and high volume portfolio of the business that focuses on pursuits aligned with the U.S. Navy mission space. Our exciting portfolio includes many products in high demand worldwide, providing lots of opportunity for meaningful support to the companyÂs mission.
This organization plays a critical role in the successful execution of International Contracts and allows programs to remain compliant with the U.S. Government in all of our global business transactions. This opportunity provides exposure and visibility in the field of Global Trade operations and its strategic impact on global growth and success. Additionally, this position will have the opportunity to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment, developing relationships with internal customers and collaborating with multiple business functions for success.
What You Will Do
 Draft International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulation (EAR) export authorizations
 Authorizations include Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs), Manufacturing License Agreements (MLAs), DSP-5s, DSP-73s, DSP-85s, Exemptions and Exceptions
 Work with the Global Trade Manager and/or Empowered Official to develop export and import strategies for the international marketing, sales, support, offshore procurement and manufacturing of defense and dual use articles.
 Develop licensing plans and provides guidance for complex licensing strategy and program planning
 Provide consistent interpretation under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to NP-NAM employees
 Contribute to preparing, submitting, tracking, obtaining, and managing from the U.S. government, all necessary export and import authorizations
 Work closely with internal customers to develop export and import approvals that allow for the efficient export of technology, technical data, hardware, and services
 Ensure review of the scope of the effort with the applicable functions, stakeholders, and the foreign parties prior to submittal
 Obtain signed agreements and other required documents from foreign parties (e.g., DSP-83s, ITAR NDAs, etc.) as applicable
 Provide status updates to the programs/stakeholders for awareness
 Review approvals to ensure all deliverables are authorized
 Manage day-to-day execution of agreements and licenses with oversight by Global Trade Manager, or Empowered Official, ensuring compliance for all activities under the agreements and licenses
 Monitor authorizations for any changes effecting the authorizations and taking action upon knowledge of the change
 Assure regulatory compliance through review and approval of foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import transactions
 Maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements
 Contribute to learning and audit assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.
 Assist in identifying compliance concerns by identifying errors and areas requiring improvement and implementing corrective actions to resolve problems
 Support management in investigating and resolving compliance matters, audits, and investigations
 Apply international trade regulations to real-life situations to enable international business to support programs
 Develop and deliver training as required for employees engaged in international business activities
 Act as a resource for entry-level export/import licensing personnel
Qualifications You Must Have
 Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
 Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
 U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
 Experience working in a regulated environment or industry supporting licenses, agreements, compliance, transactional activities, application of regulations ITAR, EAR, or similar auditing and compliance roles
Qualifications We Prefer
 Strong experience in the application of regulations (ITAR, EAR, Customs) in high volume environments
 Experience with Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) and Manufacturing Licensing Agreement (MLA) preparation/administration
 Knowledge of Export Control Reform (ECR) and familiarization with Jurisdiction Classification Assessments
 Knowledge of SNAP-R, OCR, DECCS, and/or SAP/GTS systems
 Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills to meet deadlines and achieve desired results
 Excellent customer relation/interpersonal skills demonstrating ability to collaborate with multiple business functions and internal customers for success
 Strong communicator with the ability to develop and deliver trainings
 Willingness to take on challenges and accept stretch assignments
 Sincere interest in field of Export Import operations and its strategic impact on global success
 Advanced Degrees such as MBA, Juris Doctor

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidateÂs work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
