We are seeking a Help Desk Representative to provide IT support for small business clients during late-night hours. This is a part-time, contract position, with an opportunity for long-term hire. The role is primarily remote, but candidates must be local to the Franklin, TN area for occasional in-office training and collaboration.
Position Overview: As a Help Desk Representative, you will be responsible for providing basic IT support, including password resets, troubleshooting network issues, and handling Microsoft 365-related tasks. This role requires availability during weekday evenings and occasional weekend hours.
Key Responsibilities:  Provide remote help desk support, handling incoming support requests  Assist with password resets and troubleshooting basic networking issues  Support Microsoft 365 environments (e.g., email, OneDrive, Teams)  Escalate more complex technical issues as needed  Track and document customer issues in a ticketing system  Collaborate with team members during training and problem resolution
Schedule:
 Monday to Friday: 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
 Occasional Sunday work (approximately 6 hours)
Qualifications:  Prior experience in a help desk or IT support role  Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (email, Teams, OneDrive)  Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., routers, switches, Wi-Fi)  Strong communication and problem-solving skills  Ability to work independently in a remote environment  Must be local to Franklin, TN, or nearby for occasional office visits
Additional Information:
 This is a contract position with the potential to convert to a full-time hire.
 Compensation is based on approved hours each week and can be structured as W-2 or 1099
