Position Overview:
The DME Cash Posting Specialist will be responsible for accurately posting payments received from insurance companies and patients for durable medical equipment (DME) services. This role involves reconciling accounts, ensuring the correct allocation of payments, and addressing discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records. The DME Cash Posting Specialist will work closely with the DME Billing Specialist and RCM Management Team to support revenue cycle processes and ensure timely collections.
The ideal candidate demonstrates proficiency in understanding DME billing regulations, has a strong attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities. This candidate must be organized, self-motivated, adaptable to industry changes, and committed to providing exceptional service while upholding patient confidentiality and compliance standards. Additionally, this candidate must be able to work both independently and as a part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:  Accurately post payments from insurance carriers and patients into the Brightree system  Reconcile daily cash receipts and ensure accurate financial reporting  Review explanation of benefits (EOBs) and remittance advices to identify and resolve discrepancies  Collaborate with the DME Billing Specialists to follow up on outstanding payments and denials  Provide support in analyzing payment trends and identifying areas for improvement  Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all cash posting activities  Perform all other duties assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the Revenue Cycle department.
Qualifications:  Minimum 2 years experience in Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Cash Posting or billing required  High School Diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in medical billing, finance, accounting or a related field preferred.  Strong understanding of medical billing processes and payment posting procedures  Proficient in medical billing software. Experience with Brightree preferred.
Work Environment:
This role can be performed on site in our Tampa, FL office, or performed remotely in a private home office space that meets HIPAA requirements. The role requires extended periods of sitting and working with computers.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
