The Healthcare Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing, mapping, and transforming healthcare data to support business insights and decision-making. This role will focus on analyzing large data assets from various source systems, interpreting healthcare industry standards, and implementing data models within healthcare data environments. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong SQL skills and good understanding of ETL/ ELT processes, data mapping and data integration and transformation are essential.
Responsibilities: Â Work with healthcare data models and standards, including HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare terminologies, to ensure data interoperability and compliance. Â Analyze and map data from various sources, create transformation logic, and validate data accuracy. Â Conduct data analysis using SQL to support reporting, insights, and analytics initiatives without relying on BI tools. Â Understand... ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing (DWH) concepts, especially in cloud environments such as Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake. Â Interpret business requirements into data models, transformation scripts, and technical specifications. Â Identify data quality issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and document solutions or remediation steps. Â Maintain comprehensive documentation for data mappings, transformation logic, and technical requirements. Â Work effectively with both business and technical teams, serving as a bridge to communicate requirements, data definitions, and transformation rules. Â Use Excel for data analysis, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications: Â Bachelor s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. Â 3+ years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on healthcare data, data mapping, and transformation. Â Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries. Â Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, and familiarity with data modelling, data warehousing and cloud-based platforms (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake). Â Ability to identify data quality issues and provide practical solutions. Â Excellent communication skills to interact with business and technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
 Familiarity with Python or PySpark, and knowledge of data formats like JSON and XML.
 Understanding of Reference Data Management (RDM) and Master Data Management (MDM).
 Skills in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and experience with presentation tools.
