Facility Credentialing Specialist
Posted 2025-04-06We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Facility Credentialing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 5 years in conducting primary source verifications and managing end-to-end credentialing processes for facilities. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining the highest level of integrity in our credentialing operations.
Key Responsibilities: Â Conduct primary source verifications in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. Â Prepare and process end-to-end credentialing packets for facilities, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Â Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate timely credentialing and re-credentialing processes. Â Maintain up-to-date and organized records of all credentialing activities. Â Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as accreditation standards (e.g., NCQA, URAC, Joint Commission). Â Serve as a point of contact for credentialing inquiries, both internally and externally. Â Develop and maintain strong relationships with facilities and governing bodies.
Qualifications: Â Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility credentialing, including primary source verifications and full-cycle credentialing processes. Â Comprehensive knowledge of credentialing standards and regulatory requirements. Â Experience working in a health plan or health system is highly desirable. Â Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Â Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Â Proficiency in credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite. Â Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Â Familiarity with NCQA, URAC, or Joint Commission standards. Â Certification in Credentialing (e.g., CPCS or CPMSM) is a plus.
