Business Services Representative (Remote)
Posted 2025-04-06Provide prompt, accurate, courteous and professional service to insureds and agencies. This is an external supporting role that will work throughout the organization to facilitate exceptional service. The Business Service Representative will perform work directly related to the business operations of Millers and exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. This position requires a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail.
Essential Job Functions:
Cross Department Support:
1. Sales Team: Provide outstanding service to Millers agency force by assisting with payment or billing inquiries, portal logons, system navigations, and finding documents.
2. Provide various types of training to agencies to help navigate the agency portal.
3. Underwriting: Work with the Underwriting department to help facilitate any service concerns relative to the agency force to include but not limited to removing barriers for the processing of new and renewal business and handling overflow of inquiries.
4. Claims: Provide back-up support for basic claim phone inquiries and data entry for first notice of loss when needed.
5. Operations: Promptly respond to the Contact Millers inquiries following inquiries to resolution.
6. Accounting: Learn and understand how commission statements are created and resolve any issues that arise with those statements.
7. IT: Provide testing support for internal systems during upgrades and new releases from the development team. Participate on development teams when choosing systems and or upgrades.
8. Organization: Monitor, answer and direct calls that come in through the main line or voicemail.
9. Other duties as assigned by leader.
Qualifications/Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Property/Casualty License preferred.
3. Knowledge of insurance markets and reference markets with a minimum of three years of experience.
4. Ability to carry out complex tasks with concrete and abstract variables.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Ability to reprioritize tasks as needed.
7. Ability to interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills.
8. Stay current on industry information, new product information, coverages, and new technology to continuously improve knowledge to keep informed.
9. Ability to provide training on systems to new and existing agencies.
10. Acceptable Motor Vehicle driving record.

Pay: $28.20 - $30.00 per hour
