COHO Technology Solutions looking for a JAVA Application Developer to design and develop Java applications and maintain applications. The Java Developer will also provide technical guidance and follow the Agile software development. Initially 100% remote; then 1-2 days per week as advised. This position reports to the onsite Project Manager and is in US Census Bureau. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):  Perform systems analysis, design, and development  Possess and maintain knowledge of web-based technologies and architecture  Design and implement secure code for software applications  Perform testing and maintain large software applications  Follow Software Configuration Management techniques and practices  Perform iterative code development  Perform troubleshooting and supporting production applications  Assist other developers with technical solutions  Evaluate, identify, and present alternatives for software Essential Job Requirements:  Education:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems Technology or a related field of study  Required Knowledge/Experience:  Hands on experience in Web Development (HTML, JavaScript, JQuery), Bootstrap Spring MVC, Hibernate and Oracle Database  Strong experience with the following technologies:  Java, Java Database Connectivity (JDBC)/ JDBC Report builder  Java Messaging Services, Java mail API, Java Server Page Technology (JSP), Java Servlets  Active X (C++)  Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Lightweight Directory Interchange Format (LDIF)  Extensible Markup Language (XML), Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation (XLST) Formatting  Oracle Database (DB) stored procedures (PLSQL and SQL)  Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Database (DB) initiated chrons  JavaScript, Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Stylesheet (CSS)  Apache Log4j: logging services  Grails, Hibernate Strong experience with the following Application Architecture Systems:  * Java Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE)  Enterprise JavaBeans 3 (EJB3) and using session beans  Standard Model View Controller (MVC) architecture using Jakarta Struts  Use of standard design patterns (MVC paradigm, Singleton, Data Access Object, Service Locator, Factory etc.)  Apache Struts 2 to extend Java Servlet API to adopt-model-view-controller architecture  Webservices/API development experience & Unix Operating System Proficiency  Ability to obtain Public Trust from Census Investigative Services (CIS) prior to commencement of Census Bureau work  Preferred Knowledge/Experience:  Prior U.S. Census Bureau and/or federal agency consultant experience  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with 5-10 years of relevant professional experience  Java J2EE, Apache Struts 2 to extend Java Servlet API to adopt-model-view-controller architecture, Webservices/API development experience, Unix Operating System Proficiency Position Pay Range $115,000Â$125,000 USD About Copper River & The Native Village of Eyak: Owned by the Native Village of Eyak (NVE), a federally recognized Alaska Native Tribe, the Copper River Family of Companies are a collection of entities that deliver a complementary set of solutions and services to support the diverse missions and requirements of our clients.
