Description: Â Manages operational and logistical aspects of school produced sports television productions. Â Interprets, implements, and manages departmental standards for remote TV broadcasts. Â Coordinates event preparation and on-site communication for remote broadcasts. Â Provides guidance and training to Remote Operations staff. Â Ensures appropriate timelines for technical and financial planning are met. Â Facilitates troubleshooting of complex technical and operational issues on-site. Â Communicates event day concerns with Production, Operations, and school personnel. Â Attends industry events related to specific assignments. Â Assists in the development and implementation of new technologies for events. Requirements: Â Requires regular travel to remote events. Â Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the year in accordance with sport schedules. Â Has knowledge of organization, financial and logistics planning related to show creation. Â Working knowledge of differing production models, as well as signal flow, scalability, and transmission. Â Has knowledge of developments in equipment technology and procedures. Â Must have strong interpersonal skills, including voice and email communication, and conflict resolution skills. Â Has and applies strong knowledge of the technical equipment requirements of ESPNÂs remote operations functions. Â Operates within the defined goals of the Remote Operations department. Â Maintains communication flow with peers in sharing best practices. Â Fluent in common computer-based software programs used for data compilation, information distribution and presentations.
