Position Overview:

As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing personalized instruction to students with special needs, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with a team of educators and families to ensure the academic success and well-being of each student. This is a remote, full-time position for the Spring Semester (January to May 2025).

Key Responsibilities: • Provide remote, individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs. • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, families, and other educators. • Use a variety of digital tools and platforms to support student engagement and learning. • Conduct regular assessments to track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed. • Maintain regular communication with students, families, and the school administration. • Participate in virtual IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and refine educational plans. • Promote positive behaviors and foster a supportive learning environment for all students. • Stay up to date with best practices in special education and remote teaching strategies.

Qualifications: • Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred). • Valid Special Education teaching certification (Idaho preferred). • Experience working with students with disabilities, including learning, behavioral, and developmental challenges. • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Proficient in the use of virtual learning platforms and educational technology. • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively. • Passion for helping students with special needs succeed academically and socially.
