Idaho Home Learning Academy (IHLA) is seeking innovative high school instructors to teach online. These positions are three-quarter time and teachers work from home. Secondary instructors facilitate a customized learning experience for students in grades 9 through 12. Applicants must be willing to learn many new software programs, build strong relationships with students, and develop online teaching skills. These services may be delivered from your own home or other location where internet access is available. It is the responsibility of the employee to have adequate internet bandwidth to operate Zoom and other online platforms. The hours for this three-quarter-time position are flexible, but substantial daytime availability is required. Teachers cannot have a teaching contract in another school district in Idaho. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education is preferred. Certification can be obtained with support from the district with a bachelor's degree or extensive industry experience. Preference will be given to applicants with a current teaching credential. We are seeking teachers with the job experience or the abilities listed below.

 Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
 Help identify students who are at risk
 Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other teachers and staff members.
 Demonstrate ability to relate positively to parents, as well as students
 Grade all student submissions including quality feedback within 72 hours (Monday-Friday).
 Answer all emails within 24 hours during the work week.
 Hold a live, weekly office hour through Zoom during the school day.
 Other duties as assigned
 Demonstrate knowledge of English content and English pedagogy.
Other requirements for employment:
 Teachers cannot be employed full time as a teacher in another district within the State of Idaho.
 Teachers are required to attend staff and department meetings each month in addition to attending meetings for students requiring accomodations for IEP or 504 plans.
 Follow all FERPA rules & regulations
 Represents IHLA in a positive manner on social media and within faculty/department meetings
 Bring concerns to Department heads or administrators
 Enforce IHLA's Academic Honesty policy
 Give input through yearly Staff Engagement Survey
Position Summary and Responsibilities: Â Complete all grading in a timely manner; Â Support the mastery-based instructional program through both asynchronous and synchronous instruction; Â Review curriculum and collaborate with teachers, parents, and students on a variety of approaches to delivering and accessing content; Â Provide feedback on all student work and monitor completion of assignments; Â Work collaboratively with other teachers to ensure that all students are successfully progressing through the program; Â Communicate regularly with parents and students through the use of email and telephone; Â Keep information up-to-date, including grading, contact logs, and attendance reporting.
