Job Description:

As an Insurance Underwriting Assistant at Western & Southern Life, you will be responsible for supporting the underwriting process by collecting and verifying information from insurance applicants.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Conducting outbound telephone calls to collect data requested by the underwriter and recording responses verbatim.
• Keying data into administrative systems and peripheral systems following prescribed steps with some degree of variation but typically accomplished by following written procedures.
• Identifying when applications are not-in-good-order and taking appropriate steps to remediate.

You will also be responsible for:
• Preparing illustrations associated with approved life insurance applications.
• Completing business processes to support licensing and appointment of producers including data entry, quality checks, training checks, and license verification.

Requirements: • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to easily shift from one business function to another as required. • Excellent verbal communication skills. • Keyboarding skills with attention to detail and high accuracy. • Ability to follow documented procedures and execute transactions according to steps identified with low need for assistance.
