The commercial loan analyst will play an important role within B Generous, assisting with the loan application process from initiation through approval or denial. This position involves managing and ensuring all applications are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This role is crucial in guiding applicants through the process, addressing any concerns or questions they might have, and ensuring a smooth and positive customer experience. Financial literacy, obsessive attention to detail and excellent customer service skills are the main requirements. You will work with and report to senior management and collaborate with multiple departments.

Responsibilities
 Application Review  Review commercial loan applications to ensure they are complete, accurate, and meet all necessary criteria before moving to the underwriting stage.
 Documentation Support  Help customers understand the types of documents required for their loan application and how to submit them properly.
 Customer Service  Serve as a point of contact for customer issues or requests related to the loan application process, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
 Financial Analysis  Conduct basic financial analysis to assess a borrowerÂs financial stability, liquidity, profitability, and credit history. This involves analyzing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to assess financial stability and credit risk.
 Reporting  Prepare and review reports on loan application volumes, processing times, approval rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
 Underwriting Support  Work with underwriting teams to ensure loan applications are assessed accurately and timely. Address any issues or questions that arise during the underwriting process.
 Loan Management  Monitor the financial condition of borrowers and the status of loan payments to identify and manage deteriorating credit situations and to mitigate potential losses.
 Market Awareness  Stay informed about market trends and developments in the credit industry and the competitive landscape that might affect loan products or the application process.
 Product Knowledge  Maintain a thorough understanding of all loan products offered by B Generous to accurately inform and advise customers.
 Feedback Collection  Collect and report customer feedback on the loan application process to help identify areas for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications:  Educational Background  A bachelorÂs degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is preferred.  Work Experience  Two years in a finance/credit/underwriting role is preferred  Customer Service Experience  Prior experience in customer service, particularly in a banking or financial services environment, is highly beneficial.  Analytical Skills  Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate financial statements and credit data.  Attention to Detail  High level of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing financial documents.  Organizational Skills  Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple applications and priorities effectively.  Communication Skills  Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and interacting with clients and management.  Interpersonal Skills  Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and work effectively with team members.  Mathematical Proficiency  Good mathematical skills to calculate ratios and understand financial models.  Technical Skills  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for financial modeling and analysis.  Adaptability  We are a small team working remotely. You will need to be disciplined and able to work independently and adapt to the fast pace of startups.  Nonprofit  Experience with any aspects of nonprofit lending or finance is not required, but highly beneficial.  **
